Description

This baby shawl was once a sweater, or rather two sweaters made of cuddly cashmere (60%) and wool (40%)
Through upcycling, Jawoll Baby saves the valuable material wool and makes it usable again, like here as a cozy and super soft scarf for autumn and winter.
Since it has different colors on both sides, you can combine it in a variety of ways.
Did you know that wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without feeling wet? This makes the cloth ideal as a bib for babies and absorbs the moist breath in winter.

Thanks to the 4 snap fasteners, which allow you to adjust 3 different lengths, the triangular scarf will grow with your child for a long time.
At the ends inside the cloth, a layer of slightly compacted upcycled wool is sewn invisibly so that the snap fasteners hold particularly well.

The cloth is available in 2 sizes:
(size "Baby" is available here, other colors and sizes can be found in the shop)
Baby size: approx. 0-18 months. Smallest setting: 25 cm; Longest setting: 32 cm
Child size: approx. 18 months – 5 years. Smallest setting: 36 cm; Longest setting: 42 cm

For many daycare centers or childcare facilities, it is important that accessories do not pose a strangulation risk for children (e.g. ban on chains). If your child is wearing the scarf and it gets caught on something or is held onto it, the snap fasteners come apart and thus prevent this risk.

Wool is a wonderful natural material: it regulates temperature, is breathable, dirt-repellent and odor-resistant. These are all properties that make wool an ideal material for baby and children's clothing.
However, breeding sheep for wool production is harmful to the climate and involves animal suffering.
A sustainable alternative is the use of existing resources: Jawoll Baby gives damaged wool sweaters a new life and makes the valuable resource wool usable again.
The orange thread from Jawoll Baby: Wool is biodegradable - polyester yarn is not. When the textile's usage cycle is over, you can see at a glance through the orange seams where you can separate the thread and wool and thus enable recycling. Only separated materials can be recycled in the household waste.
Washing and care instructions are included with your order.
